Working at Your Test Professionals

YTP 2010

The binding factor between our test professionals is the zeal for testing.

 

The organization offers a pleasant working atmosphere with a high degree of freedom of expression and room for initiatives. This is an important factor for me because I have a positive critical attitude and lots of ideas. At YTP I feel that assertiveness and constructive suggestions are recognized and appreciated. This is expressed in my work; for instance helping to set up and improve internal processes and providing trainings to new customers for our application suite, named CP/T®. This suite consists of a number of open-source applications that supports our customer's testing process. Every customer of YTP may use the suite. This makes us unique and differentiates us from competitors.

 

In order to provide quality trainings I have attended the 4-day course 'Speaking in public', with an ISTQB course in Barcelona due soon. This is illustrative for the organization's willingness to invest.
 
 There is attention to your personal goals and career plan, even if this means it will take longer to find a matching assignment. This creates perspective and a sense of commitment which increases motivation.

 

Currently I am cooperating with my colleague Dennis in setting up a 'Playground', a Linux server where users can install and test-drive several applications relevant to the organization. Furthermore there is the opportunity for organizing 'knowledge sessions' among colleagues.

 

Your Test Professionals has good primary and secondary working conditions and fair arrangements. Home working and flexible working hours are oftentimes possible. All in all it is an excellent environment to develop yourself as a testing professional! (Maurice C.)
